Abbey Lodge 2529 Founder’s Breast Jewels

Founder’s Breast Jewels

The image below was taken on the occasion of the ‘Masonic Rooms’ behind what was the Union Club aka 12, Accrington Road, Whalley being used for the first time on Thursday 13 May 1897. This was over two years after the Consecration of Abbey Lodge on 26 September 1894.

The 14 Founding Brethren each wear a breast jewel bespoke to the Lodge Office they received at the Consecration. Clicking on the number of the Founder will take you to a brief masonic biography for each person.
