Party of Freemasons From Bury Visit Abbey Lodge

Visit of Egerton Lodge 1392 with The Lodge of Merit 934 March 25
Members of Egerton Lodge, 1392 and a member of The Lodge of Merit, 934 both in Bury visited Abbey Lodge for our March 2025 meeting. This had been arranged over a number of months after someone had suggested they visit Whalley Masonic Hall and contacted us through our website.
The 6 visitors arrived a little early so visited another of our favourite haunts, the Dog Inn from where our Junior Warden had to gather them just before the Lodge started. Once the Lodge was opened the Minutes of the meeting held 100 years ago were read, a couple of  ‘5 minute Nuggets’ were read before a brief history of the Lodge was given and interesting facts about this Lodge’s Past Masters presented. After the meeting they were treated to a meat salad supper and even went home with some of the Raffle prizes!!
Thanks for making the evening something special.
Abbey Lodge members will be visiting 1392 ( and possibly 934) in due course.
