Abbey Lodge Pair Acknowledged
At the recent meeting of the Provincial Grand Lodge of East Lancashire on Tuesday, 18 November, 2025 two members of our Lodge were acknowledged for their contributions to Freemasonry. Both of these Brethren were initiated into Shuttleworth Lodge that met in Burnley but joined Abbey Lodge when Shuttleworth closed.
Worshipful Brother Ray Evans on the left of our photograph was promoted to Past Provincial Sword Bearer and Worshipful Brother Stephen Ryder on the right received the acting office of Provincial Junior Deacon. Completing the picture in the centre is Brother Tony McHugh, Worshipful Master of Abbey Lodge, 2529.
